Winter Diving
Rules - Strictly Enforced
1. You must have
de-icing kits (environmental) regulators. Those kits are on the
first stage.
2. Everyone diving must fill out a
liability release form.
Important: You must receive written
confirmation
before diving, we must be contacted before anyone
hits the water at the Quarry.
3.Triangle pointing North cut in the Ice a minimum of 6 feet on
each side of the triangle. This will be the penetration point.
Chainsaw should have no oil for the chain... contamination of
the water.
4. You must be certified in Ice Diving or be with an instructor
that is.
5. You must have line tenders for each diver and a back-up
diver, and know the basic's on line pulls.
6. Must have a harness that goes around the crotch or the legs.
This is to pull the diver in when exhausted. BC's can be pulled
off the Diver.
7. Snow Wagon wheel pointing north, 30 feet out from the entry
point if there's Snow.
8. This is a Dry suit sport. Be Aware wet suit divers cannot
take the cold more than 5 to 10 minutes. The water temp at the
surface will be 28 degrees.
