Pumpkin Carving Contest

 Each buddy team had one pumpkin. We gave away prizes and the pumpkins were voted on by the contestants. Prizes were gift certificates for Bob Evans (thanks to Jeff Merkle). We also gave away Domino's Pizza gift certificates (thanks to Eric and Mike), Mares masks, fins, and free air fills. Donuts and fresh squeezed apple cider topped off the event in the shelter house. Everyone had a great time.

Additional Notes:

• Underwater photos were taken by Michelle Thomas with her birthday present, a Sealife camera from her husband.

• We had to run two shifts on the pumpkin carving because we had so many people.

• Mike Courvoister dove his new rebuilt double hose, a Aqualung Mistral. He was very happy with the results, good job Bryan Pennington. He and his wife won the trip to the Bahamas.

• Michelle Thomas reported 65 feet visibility and thermocline at 42 feet. Air temp 82 degrees and water was warm at 78.
